Awana

A weekly club that focuses on memorizing God's Word. Clubbers earn awards to wear on their uniforms and receive ribbons and plaques/trophies at the end of the club year for their hard work.  The children also participate in exciting games, sing songs, share with one another, do occasional crafts, go on outings, and build long lasting friendships.

Awana Club meetings are brimming with life-enriching experiences for young people! Trained leaders guide children through age-appropriate material. Clubbers learn that God is real and that He loves them.

2. Awana Attendance Policy
Our leaders volunteer their time each week to support and run our Awana program. To be accountable to them and the children on waitlist as well as be good stewards of the resources God has given us, Fraser Lands Awana Club follows the following attendance policy.

The following may result in the loss of your child’s place:

  • Missing three (3) consecutive club nights at any point in the year without notification.
  • Missing more than five (5) club nights in total in the year without notification or a reasonable excuse. If your child’s absences meet the criteria outlined above parents will be contacted and  the space may be given to someone on the waitlist.

3. Verse Memorization
Clubbers are encouraged to learn and practice their verses at home each week with their parents. There will be assigned club time for clubbers to memorize their learnt verses to leaders.

For Cubbies, we encourage clubbers to complete 1-2 sections per week. Sparks are encouraged to complete 2-3 sections per week as this will allow time for completion of their frequent flyer handbooks.

T&T clubbers will complete the assigned sections for each club week.

For clubbers who want to bring a friend to complete the " Awana Bring A Friend" section in the handbook, please ask your friend to fill out the "Awana Bring A Friend" Form in advance.

4. Handbooks and Uniforms
Handbooks and Uniforms will be available for purchase at the start of the Awana Year.

5. Cost
There is a $15 registration fee for Awana. This amount will be collected in September along with handbook and uniform fees. More details will come in September.

6. AWANA Kickoff
The first club night of Awana for the 2023-2024 year will be Saturday, Sept 16 at 7:00pm. More details will be provided in September.
