Jesus' Uncle and Auntie

If you read through Luke chapters 1–2, the Christmas story, you will be struck by how supernatural the story is. There are angels, miracles, prophecies, visions and the Holy Spirit. This is because the message of Christmas is that God is real. He is at work in the world. In this passage we see the reality of God in the life of Zechariah and Elizabeth. God will answer their prayer raise up John who will call the world to repentance.
