The popular notion of heaven as the place where people become angels and sit on clouds with harps is not only boring, it is not biblical. When John sees a glimpse of what God will do at the end time he sees 'A New Heaven and a New Earth.' God promises us that he will transform creation. This doctrine is one that dignifies both the created order and our vocational lives. To meditate on heaven is to fill our thirst with "living water" (Rev 21:6).
