A Sense of Belonging, Community, and Family

Praise and thanks be to God for yet another successful Connect Café Newcomers Welcome Luncheon (CCNWL) held on January 21st, 2024, which saw 34 newcomers in attendance, for an afternoon of building new friendships, sharing a meal, and hearing testimonials. Guests and FLC members alike appreciated the inspirational "Connect Stories" given by a few of our newcomer guests, who shared their experiences at FLC, including how they got connected to FLC, as well as what encouraged them to make FLC their home church. In addition, a couple of long time members shared how FLC plays a vital role in their family life. Interestingly, all the stories highlighted a sense of belonging, community, and family – a message which very much resonated with our guests. In short, our guests felt welcomed and right at home. On a related note, we are grateful to our sponsors for their generous donations, which contributed to the overall engagement and fun, afternoon activities.

Last, but not least, a huge, heartfelt thank you to everyone who prayed for the CCNWL event and to our host of Connect Cafe Team volunteers, who performed their roles so wonderfully.
