Missions Highlight - Jackie Wong

EDUPAVI Canada, partnered with Guatemalan school Educando Para La Vida, is thrilled to enter its third year as an official school! With the support of many in Vancouver, children from marginalized communities are receiving scholarships to be able to access basic education (Preschool-Grade 9), as well as support programs for their health and their families.

2024 Praise Items:

• EDUPAVI celebrated their 5th year as an organization, and their 10th year of serving with Educando Para La Vida.
  
  
• Many members of FLC were able to visit and serve at the school in person, including two teams, returning EDUPAVI team members, and a full-time English teacher.
  
  
• 120 students from 88 families completed their school year - including 11 students who graduated primary school, and 31 students who completed another year of middle school! (An accomplishment that less than 40% of children in Guatemala are able to reach).

2025 Prayer Items:

• For provision to be able to provide services to the expanding student population - this year's addition of 9th grade (the third and final year of middle school) brings the number of students to 135.
  
  
• For perseverance and encouragement for our students, families and small teams (both here in Vancouver and in Guatemala) so that all may know their value and right to a dignified life as God's children, no matter their background.
