Building Completion Faith Journey Update - December 2020

A lot has happened since we started demolition and construction in November and we would like to update you on the progress of all that has taken place. As part of the new footings for the church, our staff and elders have selected some scripture verses to embed into the concrete foundation to show our desire to build our church based on the foundation of God's word!  

Please continue to keep our Building Completion Faith Journey in prayer as we ask for the Lord's presence to guide us and for His protection over all the construction workers and consultants everyday. Thank you for your continued prayers and faithful giving towards this building project so that God's name will be honored and glorified in our community, in our city, and in our world!

Scripture Embedded into the Concrete Foundation

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.  1 Corinthians 3:11  

You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”  1 Peter 2:5-6  

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.  Ephesians 2:19-22  

How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young – a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.  Psalm 84:1-4  

“But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”  Joshua 24:15
