Response to the Lytton Mayday Ministry Trip was overwhelming with 41 people signed up for the trip in early May. We had an orientation/prayer session on May 7th to prepare for the trip and learned about the Indigenous Peoples’ culture and the Lytton community. Our ministry team ended up with 11 teen members, but Pastor Nathan could not join us due to a last-minute sickness.
The carnival games and crafts were well attended by many children in the Lytton area with many familiar faces. The added bonus was the opportunity to attend the Lytton Rebuilding Symposium to learn about the latest news on the village’s recovery and toured the ruined village centre.
Many of us woke up at 4:30 a.m. for the day trip but everyone came back excited and energized because we knew God had blessed us to reach out to the Lytton community. We truly experienced the meaning of “Blessed to be a Blessing”.
Please contact us (Jamie 778-552-3123 or Samantha 778-999-1204) if you are interested in the Lytton Ministry and continue to remember the people in Lytton and our ministry in your prayers.
