"The First Disciples: Mary & Joseph"
Luke 1:26-38; Matthew 1:18-25

In the face of the challenges that would come from being called to give birth and raise the Son of God.  The angel declares to Mary: “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God... ...For no word from God will ever fail.” (Luke 1) 

The Angel declares to Joseph: "Do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 1)

Mary and Joseph set an example for us and respond in faith, trust, and surrender.

"An Evening in December" is a Christmas Eve program featuring Christmas carols, special music, and a short message of hope. All are welcome to this family-friendly event. No tickets required.

Join us on Tuesday, December 24th at 8:00pm either in-person or online via livestream.

Desserts and refreshments will be served after the program.

We are blessed to have members of the Nisyok family joining us at "An Evening in December" and welcoming our guests with their traditional song and dance at the beginning of our program.

A message from the family: "We are Nisga'a, Tsimshian, and Haisla. Our grandchildren have been performing and involved with their traditional dance and drumming group since they were babies and they love showing their drumming and singing abilities. We are all looking forward to playing for you on our drums this Christmas Eve."

We are in need of volunteers to prepare and serve at the Dessert Cafe after the Christmas Eve program for "An Evening in December". Roles include set up and take down, preparing and serving cakes, preparing and serving cold drinks and hot chocolate. Click below to sign up to volunteer.

We will be collecting a special offering for year-end thanksgiving from December 1-29. Please indicate "year-end thanksgiving" when you give.

Each evening includes a video session on the topic of the evening, private discussion for the couples, and a dessert to share.

Each session features leading experts, teaching content, and stories from around the globe.

The session topics help couples to:

- Understand each other's needs
- Resolve conflict
- Recognize how upbringing affects your relationship
- Develop greater sexual intimacy
- And much, much more...

The course runs for 7 Fridays from January 31 to April 4, 2025 (with break weeks on Feb. 14, March 21, 28).

Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up. Click here for more info.

Alliance Women Gathering
Please join the Alliance Women as they host an informal "bring your own lunch" with Molly Choy and the Cambodia Missions 2025 team on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 12:45pm. We are excited about the trip in 2025 as the team consists of brothers and sisters from our different FLC congregations.

Please bring your own lunch and join us to learn, pray and support Molly and the Cambodia Missions team for their upcoming trip in February 2025. Please also bring any new unused cosmetic bags and simple beauty products that Molly and team will bring as gifts to the team in Cambodia.
