Farewell Lunch for Pastor Peter

We would truly like to thank Pastor Peter & Tiffany for their years of faithful and loving service as a pastoral couple at our church. In order to show our appreciation to them, a farewell luncheon is being organized for Sunday December 17 at 12:30 pm. If you would like to attend their appreciation luncheon, please find out more details and sign up on our church website. Deadline to sign up for lunch is Sunday December 10.

To show your appreciation for Pastor Peter and Tiffany, please consider writing a message on one of the thank you cards that can be found on a table set up outside the Chapel. You can either write directly on the card, or take a small sticky note, articulate your message at home and stick it on the card at a later time.

Don & Betty Orr

Don & Betty Orr

Dear Brothers & Sisters at Fraser Lands,

Season’s greetings in Jesus’ name!  As our time in the Middle East is coming to a close, we’d just like to update you on our journey. We remember sharing with you in 2018 about our calling to begin a new work for the Alliance in this unique country, with the hope of establishing a brand new team and equipping it to reach out to the Y people, a group that had experienced genocide and atrocities at the hands of its enemies. God has been faithful, and now five years in, we have a team in place consisting of 2 families and 2 single workers, working together with our local Alliance Church to bring the love and hope of Christ to these amazing people. We were especially moved this fall, when we were asked to help train a group of 10 Y Christ followers in the question of how they can go about setting up a fellowship of faith within the Y context. Praise God!! This is why we came.

But the time has come for us to move on. The team is getting traction and has a close connection with the local church. Our role has also changed and we now also serve as Area Directors for Central Asia and the Middle East. In this new role, we have been asked to move to another country in Central Asia to transition leadership and to develop that team, particularly in its desire to reach other unreached people groups with the love of Jesus. We will miss those we leave behind, but we know they are all under His care, and we look with excitement to our future path in Central Asia. Please pray for our transition and for all the documents we require will be ready in time. Pray also for the team we left behind—pray that God will continue to bless them and allow them to make a huge difference in the lives of those they touch. Thank you for your prayers and support and we look forward to being in touch in the future.

Be blessed this Christmas season,
Don & Betty
Michelle Ko

Michelle Ko

Michelle is in her 2nd year at Ambrose University in the Masters of Divinity - pastoral ministry program. She has 2.5 more years to go. She enjoys discipling others in the faith and teaching on spiritual formation, so she is in a discernment process as to what that may specifically look like in the future. But for now, after graduation she is planning on pastoring at a church wherever God leads.

Praise Item
I thank God for the opportunities to learn alongside my friends and professors to be trained for pastoral ministry. I have the privilege of being on the Seminary student leadership team where we create spaces for all students to connect with one another and build relationships of support and care for one another. We praise God for the many students that have come from around the world and share their experiences so that we may all grow together as one family.

Prayer Item
Taking up the role of being the president of the student body is an absolute privilege but it has also been difficult when I am also taking 4 courses and a part-time job. My heart is for the Seminary to be a place of welcome to everyone, a place of safe haven for those who need support in church leadership, and a place to learn and grow with one another. Please pray for God's wisdom to know how to provide hospitality for our students, for continual strength in meeting my obligations, and for the Spirit's inspiration to lead in this community that desires to grow personally, spiritually, and communally with one another.
Congratulations Angie & Corin on your wedding
