After serving for nine years as the Mandarin Congregation Pastor at Fraser Lands Church, Pastor Peter Yu has resigned from his ministry position at our church. His last day of ministry will be on December 17, 2023. We would truly like to thank Pastor Peter & Tiffany for their years of faithful and loving service as a pastoral couple at our church. Please pray for God’s leading upon Pastor Peter & his family, as well as for the future direction of the Mandarin ministry at Fraser Lands Church. 

In order to show our appreciation to them, a farewell luncheon is being organized for Sunday December 17 at 12:30 pm. If you would like to attend their appreciation luncheon, please find out more details and sign up on our church website. Deadline to sign up for lunch is Sunday December 10.

To show your appreciation for Pastor Peter and Tiffany, please consider writing a message on one of the thank you cards that can be found on a table set up outside the Chapel. You can either write directly on the card, or take a small sticky note, articulate your message at home and stick it on the card at a later time. 

Prayer and hearing God is important for every believer and is at the heart of every ministry.  

Prayer Summits are the monthly opportunity to engage in prayer together as a church! Join us as we gather for worship, reflection, personal prayer time, and corporate prayer for important needs and issues.  

Let us come together to give thanks, pray for the world, our city, our church, and for each other.

Lunch available beforehand after the 11am service at 12:30pm for those staying for the Prayer Summit. In order to know how much food to prepare, please sign up for the lunch below. Deadline to sign up for lunch: Thursday November 23, 2023. 

We can express the love of God in concrete and tangible ways. This year we are inviting small groups, families, and individuals to sponsor Christmas Hampers in support of two ministry areas. They are "Vancouver Urban Ministries (VUM)" and "Help for Lytton". You can choose to support one or both. Please join us in supporting these ministries and the families they serve. Praise God for witnessing His amazing work in Lebanon in August

Prayer:
Pray for more churches to help plant 15 bilingual (Arabic & English) churches across Canada.

Sylvia will be leading a team to visit CRRS sponsored students in Guangxi, China from December 1-11. Henry and Sandra Tsang (from our English congregation) are part of the team.

Praise:
We were approved by the local government in China to visit CRRS sponsored students again after 4 years. Although the China Visa application policies have changed a lot, members who need special type F visas to enter China were successfully granted. Praise the Lord to remove the barriers!

Prayer: 
We cannot share the Gospel directly to the sponsored students, and we might have team members who are not Christians. May our Christian team members be loving ambassadors of God! May the people open their eyes and hearts to see God through us! Please also pray that all trip logistics will be arranged smoothly, and that God would protect and take care of our family members in Canada and Hong Kong.

Steps to Environmental Stewardship 
Starting Sunday Novemer 19, we will no longer be providing disposable cups. Please remember to bring your own mug or drink container. 

Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed to prepare for the Lights of Christmas event! We are looking for volunteers to help us move the Christmas Trees and Decoration from the Balcony to the main floor on November 19th after the Cantonese Service and English Service. If you would like to help please confirm by sending an e-mail to Estefani Maique (estefani@fraserlands.ca).

Help with Snow Removal 
If anyone can volunteer to help with Snow Removal or applying Ice Melt this winter for the sidewalks, stairwells and entranceways at the church, please contact our Facilities Supervisor, Estefani Maique (estefani@fraserlands.ca).

Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up.

In order to reduce the amount of interest payment on our $1.45 million Building Loan, we initiated a program to allow individuals providing interest free loans to the church. Our current minimum interest free loan is $5,000.
